BALANCE SIMULATOR®  Visuomotor Training & Analysis App.

INTENDED USE

This app is for use with the BALANCE SIMULATOR® Interactive balance board. Its purpose is to provide the user with instant audio/visual feedback and visuomotor training through computational analysis.

Simply install the app then connect your phone to the BALANCE SIMULATOR® Interactive balance board, and you’ve got a powerful balance training simulator with real-time analytics, audio-visual feedback, and immersive TV connection.

OBJECTIVE

Achieve good balance through task-oriented visuomotor challenges. The aim is to keep the ball in the Red Target zone for as long as possible during each training session. Your balance score will be determined by the amount of time that the ball spends fully contained within the red TARGET ZONE.

GETTING STARTED

To begin, select one of the two visuomotor simulations TOTAL TIME or LONGEST TIME. Then select the desired level of difficulty. There are three selectable levels of difficulty 1-3, where level one is the simplest. Use the slider to alter the speed of the ball. Next select one of the three training styles: Pitch & Roll, Roll or Pitch. The default is Roll. Pitch & Roll allows the ball to move in all directions. Finally, choose the training session length of time; 1-10 minutes, and then click Start.

STABILITY SCORE

When TOTAL TIME is selected your stability percentage score will be calculated by summing up all the time spent with the ball entirely contained within the Target Zone during the balancing session.

When LONGEST TIME is selected your stability percentage score will be determined by the longest single spell that the ball spends entirely contained within the Target Zone during the balancing session.

STABILITY ANALYSIS

During each balancing session, the performance is assessed and rated based on your Pitch & Roll leaning tendencies, and in each direction one of the following ratings is given: Great, Good, Fair, Poor.

Depending on which of the two training Simulations was selected, the percentage score in the centre will denote either the total length of time, or the longest single spell of time that the ball spent in the target zone during the session.

PROGRESS TRACKER

Over time the progress of your performance is recorded and displayed in a graph which runs from the start date up until the current date. Click the chart icon at the Top Right side of the screen to open.
